Overcome me - Unhappiness
some people just laugh at me because I am deeply hurt when I lost my pet shaggy. I can't have a child that is why I love my dogs like my own baby. I am trying to console myself now yet sometimes I still find myself as if I am starting all over again.

Re: Overcome me - Unhappiness
Some people don't realize that pets - cats, dogs and others, actually can form emotional bonds with us no less real than those with our own species. It's just that we don't communicate in language. We do in fact feel mutual emotional bonds though.
When we talk about personality styles in the KWML Mastery Program and what draws two people together emotionally, the same kind of friendship feelings, love, value, and happiness that is mutual is there.
It's all just emotional energy.
Think about it this way, one need we all have in friendship, or wanting to be a parent, or wanting to be a romantic partner is that we feel VALUED.
We want to feel loved and to be loving.
Well these words are synonyms - love, friendship, happiness, and value. They are each just a form of positive emotions, and are interchangeable with each other.
We value a friend, we love a friend, a friend makes us happy and we do so back as well.
So the next time someone makes fun of you for missing a pet, loving a pet or valuing a pet, all the more painful when they're gone, that person is just scientifically wrong (and diplomatically UNKIND.)
