I like the new design, takes some getting used to though.

Could you please check my log in-data for the Men's Forum: user name "Teddie" but I have no pass word, want to be able to post there too. Can I have the same pass word I use for the women's forum?

Thanks and regards

Teodora

I like the new design, but I miss one of the features from the previous design:

The feature that showed you, in any given thread, what posts you hadn't read and which you had.

In other words, when you opened a thread with new posts in it, an orange sheet of paper icon appeared next to the (e.g) "by Marek on 18 Jan, 2010") that allowed you to know you hadn't read that post.

This is a very useful feature for ongoing threads.

Cheers! :D

Hmm, yeah...I'd have to agree with Delboca. The layout of the previous template seemed much more user friendly, easier to identify, quickly, visually, where to go next upon entering the forum.
I noticed too that once all new posts have been read, if you click on "view active topics", there are none. :!: :?:
This new design I'm sure has perks not previously available, and as with anything new, will require time and patience for acclimation.
What would you say, Marek, is the most positive aspect of this new template? ...from a user standpoint?
If asked if we prefer this, or like the old template better, I'd say the latter would be the overwhelming response, simply because we're comfortable with that layout. ;) ...not necessarily a reason to keep the old template choice.

I see the poll runs through the 31st of this month. What happens on February 1st?

This function is still present.
You probably now have all threads marked as new so to fix this, scroll all the way down and below the forum you will see "Mark forums read" link. This will mark all posts as read and any new posts will be clearly distinguished by color from now on as you are used to.

Thank you for you valuable feedback.

That's correct.
Any new forum posts made AFTER clicking on 'Mark forums read' will have a red icon.

I'm pretty much exactly with Art on this.

I found the older style easier to follow intuitively/visually. Yes, I'll get used to this one, so there's a familiarity factor involved, but the older one seemed more 'obvious' visually...lead you more easily and was less 'busy'.

By the way, LOVE the not-so-subtle answer of "prefer the old one...but don't like change". Great way to stop people from posting that answer!!! You guys wouldn't work for a psychiatrist by any chance, would you, haha??

I did that a few hours ago, but I still see no red icon in the new forum posts that were made since.
