women only

Postby Paul Dobransky MD » Sun Oct 04, 2009 3:59 pm

FYI, Males are not to post on the forum or view it here. Only moderators, male or female. If you are a male on the forum your posts will be deleted unless the women vote overwhelmingly that they want men on here. This will be reviewed every three months for any desired change. This is, however, a forum for women only.

Thanks for respecting.

And why is that, if I may ask? I think we would benefit if men could post in here.

I'm thinking there's pros and cons. Being able to take a poll of men is beneficial but sometimes you want to have the sense of comfort of talking about something just with the girls.

Good point, but I don't think men would post so often anyway. And we can get so wrong in here by ourselves...

Hi Dr. Paul, Coaches and Forum Members,

I would like to propose we let male forum members in, however, we could be allowed to start individual threads and make them women only.

I'd love to get male input on many, even most, ideas and questions.

I support Nikki's view completely. I think the male perspective can be very useful, as long as they are respectful etc. I imagine that if they weren't they'd be sent off scurrying anyway by the women who use this forum.

And, in support of Kii's question...why was this decision made? I don't recall the question being asked of the women on this forum. Were complaints received that were not made public?

It's a tough issue. Technologically, if any and every man can get in here, there's no monitoring what quality they offer, what degree of maturity or even psychologic mindedness. There are even corporate espionage situations out there which, yes, are almost always men perpetrating. We've already had that happen twice which is why I did this post, and stepped in. I won't tolerate rudeness or disrespect for women in that light.

However, I AM a man, and DO give the overall male perspective, as well as intending for male coaches to pitch in. They are screened, tested for knowledge and diplomacy, which then makes it okay by me.

I've found over the years that there are certain things a mixed audience brings, dialogue, but often both men and women are loathe to get really REALLY honest and intimate about what's going on for them. Which would be fine on a free for all public forum or matchmaking site, the news sites like yahoo or cnn etc, but not a place that is supposed to be female empowering ONLY, and speaks in your language about dating, men, and their ways.

Which is why plenty of male voices of a guaranteed quality, educaiton and maturity makes sense here.

Speaking of that, I just wanted to announce that today I FINALLY got an internet connection installed at my apartment, so you guys can expect to see me back here in the forum.

Great times are coming

Cheers! :D

I must say Delboca has excellent insight. If you want a man's opinion on anything he is among the best to query a question to. Not only is he fluent with MindOS and KWML his writing is fluid and clear, making understanding and applicability so much more easy. I'm proud to work with this guy - big time!

Good, we'll keep it an open question, but will keep in mind that males who know the material well ought to be the most likely to stay, and mature and respectful. We'll just monitor it, and let me know if you like or dislike any involvement. It needs to be mainly by women and for women here.

Thanks!

I think you need a women only post, women & men post, and men only post. Fairness for everyone. :D
